| Downloading
and Installing RealOne Audio
To download RealOne Audio Basic (the free version) click here. You'll be asked a few questions and can say "No" to getting email. You'll find a link for installation instructions on the Download page. To test your program (and get an immediate reward for your work) listen to Barbra
Streisand's beautiful rendition of Avinu Malkeinu. When the page for her Higher
Ground CD displays, just click on the Listen

| Using
RealOne Audio When you start RealOne Audio you'll see a display with buttons for stopping and pausing, replaying, and moving ahead or back by sliding the small bar. The program takes about 20 seconds to load, display a console with controls for the music, and build a buffer of digitized sound to reduce the chance of pauses. Even with a fast dialup modem (56 Kb) there will be times when network congestion will leave the program without data. It will then pause to rebuild the buffer and continue. Those with a high speed connection should enjoy smooth listening. You can minimize this display and move on to other pages and the sound will continue. To stop it, close the RealOne window or click on the Stop button. If a selection doesn't play you may need to change the setup of your Netscape, Internet Explorer or AOL browser. Files with extensions .ra, .rm and .ram should be associated with the RealPlayer program. If you have a problem ask your ISP's (Internet Service Provider's) support staff for help. 03/02/2003 |
