Joining Kol HaLev Cleveland's Reconstructionist Community

First, take a virtual tour of Kol HaLev . . .

We encourage you to visit these web pages:

  • Our Vision, Values and Mission Statements

  • About us.  An overview of the Kol HaLev community.

  • Our participatory nature. All members participate in the life of our community. See our Committees page.

  • Reconstructionist Judaism. We are part of the youngest stream of organized American Judaism — Reconstructionism — a progressive, contemporary approach to Jewish life which integrates a deep respect for tradition.

  • Rabbi Steve Segar. "Rabbi Steve", who serves us full-time, is a graduate of the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College.

  • Hagiga. Learn about our educational program for children and their families.

  • Activities. See our calendar, adult education and Tikkun Olam (social action) pages. For views of past events, see our album.

  • Youth and Family Programs are a high priority for us and are designed to foster learning, believing and a sense of belonging.

  • Policies. We've posted policies that may be of interest to prospective members on our Reference page.

  • Dues. See our schedule of dues and fees, including our new "Fair Share" alternative.

. . . then make some real contacts

The above pages say much about Kol HaLev, but we suggest that the best way to learn about us and to sense the welcoming, participatory nature of our community is to attend Shabbat services or another program (see our calendar). We also offer seminars for prospective  members.

To join us for the High Holy Days, consider becoming a Tishri Member.

For more information or to speak to Rabbi Steve Segar or a member of our Membership Committee, contact us.
