Q: How do I log into the Kol HaLev website as a member?
A: Click on the "Member Login" link. You will see spaces to enter your username and password. Your username is the e-mail address that you gave Kol HaLev; it's the one we use to send you community news like our newsletter and weekly updates. If you do not know your password, please refer to the "Help! I do not know my password!" section below.
Q: How do I know if I am logged into the site?
A: Look at the menus near the top of the page. If you see "Member Login" then you are NOT currently logged into the site as a member. If you see "Member Logout" then you are currently logged in.
Q: Help! I do not know my password!
A: Go to the login page and click on the "Request New Password" tab (just above the box where you would normally type in your username. Type in your e-mail address (it must be the same one that you gave Kol HaLev) and click the "E-mail new password" button. You will receive an e-mail with a new password that will allow you to log into the Kol HaLev website. Once you are logged in, you can change your password if you would like (see the "How do I change my password" section immediately below).
Q: How do I change my password?
A: If you are logged in, go to http://kolhalev.net/user/ Then click on the "Edit" tab. You will see password fields there. After creating your new password, be sure to scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the "Save" button. OR... From the navigation menus you can go to Member Resources / Member Home Page and then do the edit / change password from there.
If you aren't logged in you can click on the "Request New Password" tab on the login page.
Q: What's all this business about "password strength" when I edit my password?
A: There is a little "helper program" on our site that "looks over your shoulder" as you type your new password. Its purpose is to tell you how secure your password is considered, according to the recommendations of computer experts. Please note that you can enter anything you want and are NOT required to create a "highly secure" password.
Q: I do not see the Members-Only item I am looking for...I know it's there!
A: Make sure you are logged into the site with your username and password, then click on the "Member Resources" link.
Q: I can't find a page on the Kol HaLev website!
A: Try searching for it using the "Search This Site" box (located on the right side of just about every page on this website!
